The Erasmus+ eRead project partners from Estonia, Slovenia, Latvia and Ukraine are preparing the BA module “Teaching reading digitally” for piloting.
Based on the module developed within the project, the national teams are currently working at its integration into the courses that deal with methods of teaching languages at their universities (University of Tartu, University of Primorska, Zaporizhzhia National University, Kharkiv National University, University of Latvia). The module is aimed at university students in teacher training programmes. The piloting will start in March-April of 2024.
The project participants will implement the project output on the basis of their respective national languages (Estonian, Slovenian, Ukrainian, Latvian). The jointly developed module is a framework, and every team will be free to navigate using the materials and languages of their country. After the piloting, we intend to collect the students’ feedback of the module via an online questionnaire specially designed within the project. The feedback results will give the partners a vision of the module’s challenges and weaknesses to be further eliminated before the module runs on a permanent basis.
The participants are looking forward to putting the BA module “Teaching reading digitally” into practice, after which they are planning to meet to share their experiences and discuss the details of implementation.
