eRead national teams are designing e-courses for national languages

Participants of eRead project are working on the design of new e-courses “Reading Skills: B1” for national languages. The national teams of Estonia, Slovenia, Latvia and Ukraine have created the course concepts, agreed on the course structure based on the expertise gained and skills developed in the project.

The structure of each 120-hour course will include a selection of texts with pre-reading, while-reading, post-reading tasks that concentrate on reading but also support speaking, listening, and writing skills. Besides, the tasks will focus on improving grammar and enriching vocabulary.  The teams of developers have selected the main materials and are now adjusting them to the course objectives and the target audience. The teams are developing a variety of interactive exercises to provide the students with an engaging experience of digital reading and effective techniques of self-paced learning.

The free, open-source courses will be piloted in partner institutions and then offered to adult learners interested in improving their skills in the Estonian, Slovenian, Latvian and Ukrainian languages.

The partners are looking forward to share and discuss their experience of e-course creation in a forthcoming LTT meeting in Riga, Latvia.
