If you want to discover the most innovative practices of teaching reading digitally – welcome to eRead!
Our reading habits have drastically changed in the XXI century: we are now reading e-texts as often as print ones, which makes e-reading an inalienable part of our lives. But such popularity of digital reading poses a problem for teaching, as approaches to developing e-reading skills may differ from traditional ones. The Erasmus+ KA2 eRead project was initiated to bridge this gap.
The project co-funded by EU intends to promote innovative digital practices in the area of learning and teaching reading to young and adult learners. Up to now, digital learning tools have been widely integrated into F2F and remote learning. Still, teachers often use digital tools intuitively. In the partnership, we will analyze and share the partners’ experience in the area of teaching reading. We will systematize the available innovative experience, update the current teaching approaches of a digital era and produce outputs that will be integrated into the educational process.
A special focus on four national languages of partner countries – Estonian, Slovenian, Latvian and Ukrainian – will enrich the language teachers’ methodological framework, and make the project developments diverse and relevant for wider audience – everyone interested in teaching and learning these European languages.
